The focus of the Arts District is this 4-block area where you’ll find many of Edmonton’s major institutions. Bordered by 99 and 100 Streets and 102 and 102A Avenues, this square is a popular place among visitors and locals alike. The Francis Winspear Centre for Music has a 1900 seat concert hall and home to the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.

The Citadel Theatre, with 5 venues, is located in Churchill Square. Edmonton’s Public Library is in the Arts District. The Chinatown Gate is a symbol of friendship between Edmonton and its sister city, Harbin China. City hall can also be found here. If you visit City Hall, take note of the grand stairway, and its 200-foot tower with its enormous 23-bell carillon. You can either take a self-guided or organized tour of the City Hall Building.
